Day 11 - Zion National Park

We had another long drive from the hotel to Zion. The views of Bryce Canyon are from above, while the views of Zion are from the canyon floor.  The bus ride was kind of scary! We descended some 4,000 feet on a road that was often 'on the edge'. I chose not to look down!  After lunch at the lodge, we caught the park shuttle for hiking stops.

We enter the park.

You following me?

Isn't this awesome? Pictures just don't do it justice.

A view of the Virgin River.  Today, it was merely flowing in some places.  We were told that flash floods can create a raging river.

This is taken from underneath the overhang of Weeping Rock. Notice the water from dripping springs.

Look closely at the trees growing out of the rocks. They will eventually break the rocks apart.
